| Which is better I'm currently feeding Gidget Eukanuba Adult Excel Salmon. But I've read that Orijen is a much better choice. Any thoughts? |

| It really boils down to finding a food that Gidget does well on. I mostly home cook, but when Katie has kibble, Orijen is my first choice with Acana and Nature's Logic as other choices. I also sometimes feed Katie The Honest Kitchen grain free fish. Katie really like Orijen Six Fish, the one made in Canada. If you really want a formula that has salmon, you can now get the Canadian version at Chewy.com, but once they are out of it, you will need to buy the Kentucky Dogstar version, which has different fish ingredients. Their ingredients are regionally sourced, and salmon comes from the Pacific rather than the Atlantic. Katie also liked the Acana Atlantica. Almost all (zinc is the exception) of the vitamins and minerals come naturally from the food. She hasn't tried the Six Fish from the US. I personally don't care for Eukanuba. It was owned by Proctor and Gamble, but it was sold in 2014 to Mars Inc. it might be sold again. They made a lot of claims while advertising that were unsubstantiated. I find some of the ingredients questionable. Of course, this is only my opinion with the research I have done. https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/blog...about-eukanuba Is Mars Getting Out of the Pet Food Business? – Truth about Pet Food

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I personally wouldn't feed anything from EUK; I find the company quite shady and remember, they were literally busted for animal cruelty for their treatment of dogs in their food trials - that's a pretty huge deal. Either way, Orijen has better food/ingred sourcing.
