| thinking of adopting an older yorkie and questions about neutering Hi all....I'm a newbie. I have an 8 y.o. in tact male Morkie. He's never been bred. He was the brother to an 11 y.o. German Shepherd who died back in Sept due to bone cancer. Both were in tact males. I was uncertain about neutering so I never did. The Morkie marked but now that the GSD is gone, he does not mark. There is a girl who has a 6 y.o. Golden Yorkie who is needing to rehome her male. I'm not sure of all his details yet but I do have a long list of questions for her. What are your thoughts on bringing in a Yorkie from another family and neutering my current Morkie? I don't want him to start marking again if I bring another dog into the home. Thank you! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | There is no way at all to predict marking behavior, so you kind of have to be willing to risk it, or not. I would neuter if I were you.
