| Dogs, Lions, Tigers, crying babies, Cody barks at them all lol. I just laugh at him, it's not like these things are on the TV screen for hours lol.

| I would try to distract your dog every time something appears on the tv screen that you know or suspect will induce a barking fit. Call your pup or squeak a toy or wave a treat and get the attention off the tv and play for a minute and then reward with the treat. Try that and let me know and good luck! Kat. |

My yorkie likes to watch dogs on to. I don't think he realizes they're on unless they bark but if they do he sits and watches and tilts his head hahah. | |

| My baby Scottie went through a barking faze and would bark at everything. It drove me nuts and gave me such a headache. What worked for me was a bit of desensitizing and training with treats. For your situation, I'd suggest finding clips on Youtube and playing them (on a Smart TV if you have one), while giving him treats only if he's quiet. Pick a command: quiet/enough/shush, whatever you like and say this command before and after a 2 second dog bark clip. You can even give a hand signal at the same time too (like the "shhh" signal where you bring your index finger to your mouth). If he's quiet, give him a treat. If not, try again. Keep trying in short bursts throughout the day, every day, until he actually stays quiet once and then throw a big "GOOD BOY" party with lots of treats. Then, gradually increase the amount of time you play the barking clips. You can gradually give less treats. Then play a variety of other dog barking clips. Key is to do this gradually and with patience and perseverance. If he doesn't get it right away, don't be frustrated. Just treat it like a game. If he gets it, YAY; if he doesn't, just keep trying. He might get it after one day, or it might take him a few weeks. But when you turn it into something fun, it'll seem like you're enjoying it too, and they seem to learn faster. Before you know it, he'll learn the quiet command and won't bark at your TV!
