| All my pups were very "out of it" for most of the evening. I offered them water or food but they really didn't eat til the next day. I used a onsie but neither of the yorkies bothered the incision much. I had to stop the liquid pain meds by the next day because they would not eat-they really didn't seem to be in pain even with the extra teeth removal done. I am sure I was in worse shape then they were! |

| Expect her to be pretty out of it. Use the meds to manage the pain. I like onesies, but some dogs don't even bother with the stitches/incision. They bounce back pretty fast. Dinky only needed pain meds for a couple days. The cock gave us a collar and told us not to unseal the package unless we had to use it. We didn't, and he let us return it. I do remember he was whimpering the first night, and my DH figured he wasn't in pain because Dinky was pretty "doped up.' So DH mushed up a small amount of food. Dinky lapped it up, sighed, and then went straight to sleep. By now, she's probably home, and you are feeling relief! Last edited by dinkster; 12-18-2016 at 05:19 AM. |
