Default The JOY of tinies

start spreading the news.

this is the thread to post and brag about your tiny. introduce them here and tell us about them. Why did you want a tiny dog? Now that you have him/her what is your favorite part? You have met Shelby She is the love of my life. At 9.5 months she is just about 3.6lbs. I am hoping she doesn't grow much more but she still seems to be adding a little bulk. She doesn't really even seem tiny to me now, until I see her up next to other small dogs. I love taking her everywhere with me and yes I mean everywhere. We start each day with a walk and sometimes that means a ride (in the frontpack) for her. The best part about having a lightweight is I can carry her and even hike for miles if her little legs get tired. Having this little critter has been more fun than I ever imagined. Now show me yours

Animal Smiley 036 Mine is tiny for now......

I'm a proud mommy of a 1.7oz bruiser. He's a little over 4 months now. He made me smile today at work because as soon as he went potty on his pad he came running to me because he wanted a treat. Smart dog!

Tinies are PRECIOUS! I hope to have one, myself one day. But I'll steer clear of those that breed tinies to get these tinies. We all know that tinies can come from standard parents.

Here's my munchkin tiny girl. She weighs more than she actually looks. She's skinny and tiny but I think her bones are heavy set. The last time I weighed her was 1 month ago and she was 3lbs 8oz, but everyone says she doesn't look it. I actually wouldn't mind some meat on those bones..hehe...it's hard when they are tiny but I love her to death. I love being able to take her with me everywhere I go and that she fits right under my chin when we sleep. Her hair is growing long so she's looking like a lady

Agree - we really didn't want a tiny, but Mare just stopped growing and we love her sooo much! (A little too much if you ask Kali!)
She is now 3.9 lbs and sooo tiny...with those biiig brown eyes looking up at us, it's hard to resist anything she wants from us. (And Kali says she is manipulating us)
She is grown up now, but here's a pic from when she was a pup at 2.8 lbs.

I have a tiny little girl, her name is Laila. She is the love of my life. I had a Shih-tzu (Ginger) growing up and loved the small size, and the fact that she did not shed. I decided to try a different breed as my mom was still in devistation over the loss (natural death at 17 years old! A beautiful celebration of life) and didn't want to harvest the memories of Ginger. We have all fallen in love with beautiful Laila, who is a bit over 3lbs. She has long legs so she doesn't 'look' as tiny as she sounds. She is in perfect health, never had a problem. She just celebrated her first birthday on Jan. 1. I love taking Laila to the mall on the weekends, and to Starbucks. I also love taking her to friends houses. I couldn't do this w/ a larger dog, or one that shed, but since she is so easy my friends never mind her company - they look forward to seeing her. I'm moving out to an apartment soon, so tiny was the way to go for me. I love them all, no matter what size, a yorkie is a yorkie!

This is a cute thread.
This is my Mignon, she weighs 2 and a half lbs at 13 months old. I am hoping she will beef up some now that she is fixed Especially since Mignon thinks she weighs 102 lbs She is a happy healthy little girl. She also came from standard sized parents.
She is great fun and her favorite past time is trying to change my hair color to gray

I know she's not tiny to most people, but as the runt of the litter and at a little over 4lbs, my little Widget is awfully small to me!! She doesn't think so, though. She scares me sometimes with all her bravado!

She is also a very cuddly and lovin' little thing, and I love how she can snuggle my neck, sit on my shoulder or sleep on my stomach forever yet she never gets too heavy.

Heck I just adore her!!

I had a sweet precious little tiny princess named Katie Lyn (rest in peace sweet angel - I love you) who sadly passed away in November -- she was 2.6 lbs full grown. I'm still heart broken over losing her so tragically. Sweet little Katie - I miss you every day and I took forward to the time when we can be together again forever at the Rainbow Bridge. Your tiny furry little body may be gone from my arms but your memories and love will always live in my heart.

I now own another little tiny princess named Tia Rose (or as I call her, Tee Tee Mouse). She is going to be a tiny when full grown just like her big sister Katie. Tee Tee is absolutely adorable and so full of spunk! She is also a bit of a nipper! She nips her big brother's pee pee!

Precious babies! The littlest love of my life is Cowboy. He is 5.5 months and weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces. He too thinks he is MUCH BIGGER! He barks and growls when someone is at the door. I tell him he better stop because he is going to scare someone and we could end up getting sued . The little bugger couldn't scare a flea if he tried! He is the most loving Yorkie I have ever known. Every thing he does just gets to me and goes straight to my heart. When he is being protective he thinks he is a full grown Rottie. Other than that he thinks he is a human baby. I really couldn't love him any more if I tried!

Besides, you never truly know what size you're going to get, so be happy and blessed to have one at all right? I think a 10 lb yorkie is still a tiny little guy! There is no definition of tiny after all. And Sully is truly one of the most beautiful Yorkies I have ever seen, and I always look forward to seeing his new pics in your avators . I see how people may be offended, but tiny is all in the eyes of the beholder, and ALL yorkies are tiny!!!!!
I agree. I think this thread was started because there seems to sometimes be a bit of putting down tinies. But in all honesty ... ALL Yorkies are really tiny when compared to a Rotti or a Lab - LOL! So we really can all post on this thread! Post some pictures of Sully! He's too cute for words. By the way, he has the most amazing coloring I've ever seen on a Yorkie. I'm so jealous! His hair looks like he got professional highlights! I wish my hair looked like that!

Awww Come on guys . This is a yorkie Forume no need to feel left out. I think its sweet to brag about their tinies. There was a thread started not to long ago about 8lbs and over Yorkies or some thing like that. So if we all felt like that then The people with tinies would of felt that post was also wrong. and I bet they didnt ........I bet they read it like they do any other post. Noo reason to be jealous or feel left out. We all love these babies no matter what size they are. Im reading this post and looking at all the tinies and Im not feeling left out. both of mine are 5 lbs not a tinie but I love them and thats what matters.

Not long ago a thread was started about posting pics of the "larger Yorkies". There were no posts about those w/ tiny Yorkie's feeling left out because they couldn't post.

I don't honestly think this thread is out to make anybody feel bad nor is it to say that tiny's are better. IMO I think it's due to all the hard talk about the smaller Yorkies so another member wanted to post about loving her tiny Yorkie and reading posts from other members w/ smaller Yorkies also.

No feelings should be hurt here. C'mon we love EVERYBODY'S YORKIE !!
