YT 500 Club Member | Licking and chewing pads of feet. Does anyone know what you can do for it. Is there anything to put on them to sooth them until the vet figures out why. Thanks |

| In my opinion it sounds like allergies. There are several medications for allergies, mine is on apoquell and it is kinda a wonder drug for us.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | When dogs have allergies, the histamine reaction causes real irritation in their paws - hence, their need to chew/lick them for relief. Is this new...? When did it start? More about allergies here: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...tart-here.html

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | It could also be as simple as needed the hair between his/her pads. It can become tangles and cause an irritant for them. I keep my pups trimmed with a mustache trimmer.

| It's once a day unless she is having issues then the vet ups it to twice a day for two weeks.
