| Welcome to YT,and congrats on your soon to be new baby. A yorkiepoo is NOT a breed, it is a Yorkshire terrier bred with a Poodle once known as a "mutt" today is called a "designer dog". Have you tried googling yorkiepoo? you may get some insight as what you may expect in this mix, I am sure if any members on YT have one they can give their experience with their baby. Pet Supplies, Pet Smart, Petco stores have lots of "stuff" for toy breed dogs, dresses for girls, bandana's for boys, tons of toys. We would LOVE to see a photo of your baby, please post when you get a chance. Have fun with your baby.

| I have two Yorkie mixes too. They are mixed with Maltese. I think mine have more of the Yorkie personality though. Congratulations on your new baby! Looking forward to seeing pictures!

| Hi, and congratulations on your new baby. I had a Yorkie-Poo mix many long years ago...he was my heartbeat, but I cannot tell you what 'a Yorkie-Poo' is like...only what 'my' Yorkie-Poo was like, since there is no 'Yorkie-Poo' breed. You might just want to read about the Yorkshire Terrier traits and the Poodle traits, since your baby could have any combination of those two breeds. Once you understand the characteristics of both breeds, as your baby grows up, you may recognize his features/personality traits as one breed or the other.

| I almost got one, until laying eyes on Chewie and that was it. He sure had a lot of energy. I did a lot of research on them, and I pulled up from my bookmarks the following information: A fun-loving “designer dog” — and therefore a mixed dog breed — a Yorkipoo is a cross between the Yorkshire Terrier and a Toy or Miniature Poodle. Intelligent, affectionate, and gentle, he makes a delightful companion and is perfectly suited to apartment life, especially if you don’t mind the barking. He has plenty of energy to be burned off and he loves to play when he’s not parked on your lap watching the world go by. His ability to run fast and jump high can be surprising to those who aren’t expecting a canine Superman in miniature. |
