| Why the sudden urge to stay outside at night? My 7 yr old yorkiepoo mix has been waking us up at night (any where between 1am and 3am) just to go sit outside. This just started on 9/20 and it's becoming rather irritating. If we don't let him out, he will pant excessively, scratch at the door, bark, whine, and "dig" into the bed, cushions, etc. Is this something normal? Or is this a cause for concern? |

| Any change in behavior of an adult dog can potentially be a cause for concern/ when was the last time he was at the vet?

| Do you have a garden that he goes to? Could there be a beastie roaming around that he wants to hunt? We have mice, hedgehogs, frogs and toads that seem to entice my litlle boy. They only come out at night. |

| . I actually stayed up tonight, mostly watching Wickett to see how he is when I'm awake. And, low and behold, I saw something scurry across the backyard. In pretty sure it's a cat, or maybe a coon, but I'm unsure if I want to let him out at all and just deal with the annoying barking and growling. |

YT 500 Club Member | That little stinker, he just wants to protect his house. Would be very discouraging being woke up just to go sit outside. I would set a trap.
