| I found a chocolate Yorkie :) Hello, I found a private breeder in NJ whom has 1 chocolate yorkie Female, I have never owned a Female before. She is adorable, From what the breeder tells me she is the most affectionate of the litter, The breeder has invited me to the home to meet the mom dad and the 3 pups. Please every one with Females give me advice on there temperment Also do you think $950 is to much to pay for this little girl ? I think it an ok fee. Both Parents are AKC reg the black and tan female & Black & tan male will be registerable the male which I am also debating over is $900. YT'ers your thought matter to me so please feel free to advise. Thanks in advance |

| Just guessing In NJ I bet $950 is a reasonable price. You know chocolates aren't breed standard, so I would not expect to pay more than $1,000 for one. I could be way off base here, and if so, am looking forward to hearing what everyone else has to say. I am certainly no expert, JMO.

| Can you take pictures when you go??? We would love to see them too. Females are great, you can put them in pretty dresses, males are great too, I love their sweaters. As far as temperment, it depends on the pup, but if you ask me All Yorkies are the best! Oh, I guess I was no help! LOL Sorry, I just love to hear about puppies!!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I loved all of my Yorkies (4) and found no diffrence in sweetness in male and female. I did have a problem with my 2 males marking occassionaly but neither was neutered. Girls are fun to dress up and put bows in without hubbies getting mad!

| Congrats on your new baby! The price seems reasonable, especially for the area you are in, and the breeder sounds great! Can't wait to see pictures! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Go see the premises! If the breeder starts talking about how rare the chocolate is then tell her that it happens when both parents carry the recessive gene and recessive genes aren't a good thing. If they carry the recessive gene for this then what other recessive genes are in the lines? Anyway, either way, $950 is a resonable price.
