| Yorkie puppy advice - appearance and weight Dear Yorkie lovers, My wife and I are looking to add a Yorkie to our family and would appreciate your expert help and advice. We have read through the guides of finding a reputable breeder but this is difficult as we live in Cairo Egypt and the same standards and controls don't apply. We have found a breeder that seems reputable and who has been open to us visiting the puppies and seeing them with their mom. The puppies weighed 322g at 6 weeks and I have attached a couple of photos. I know you don't have much to go on but I was wondering if you can comment on the general appearance and weight of the puppies. Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated. All the best, Andreas |

| The puppies are beautiful,I am NOT a breeder,I don't know what weight 6 week old puppies should weigh, but, these puppies look healthy to me, nice chubby beautiful babies.

| They are adorable puppies! Nice faces and coloring. I'm not sure what the typical weight is for a standard Yorkie at 6 weeks. Best wishes in adding a Yorkie to your family.

| You can look up Yorkie weight chart on google. There should be a lot info there. Most are pretty accurate from 1 week to adult. This is providing that you don't over exercise for too much muscle mass or making him a couch potato to be fat. As for looks, it's generally your choice as a pet. You want to make sure you look at the parents to have a general idea of how they will look like. Usually they will look like one or the other, or a mix of the parent. Same goes for as personality and smart. If you are looking for a show dog then I would suggest going to show for a while and getting to know them for a while to see what is a standard quality Yorkie. I'm sure they will always give you a lot more advice and tips on what to look for in example as bone structure, ears, snout, good jaw bite, behavior, etc.... |

| Thank you all so much for the great advice! The mother looks great and just like a yorkie should but the father was not available to see. I will let you know how we get on. Thanks again, Andreas |

YT 500 Club Member | Sweet cuties. I would take both, but I like the one with the darker face. They look healthy to me. I wouldn't worry to much about the weight, as long as they are nursing well or eating kibble.

YT 500 Club Member | Now them are BEAUTIFUL perfect looking little angels right there! They don't look too small either! I'd buy them both up with a quickness...but that's just me...that's how I roll
