| Pregnant yorkie (Teaka) Helol everyone newbie. I have a year old female yorkie. First time. I also have a 10 month old maltese. I found them tied 63 days ago well she was 4 lbs now she is about 6 her temperature fluctuates 99.5 to 98 no contractions restless. We are getting the maltese neutered. I had xrays done a couple of weeks ago and it showed 3 maybe 4 pups. She is getting bigger in the stomach I'm wondering if she's to small to have them. If so when will they come. |

| Welcome to yorkie talk, your dog is very petite and may need a c section. Did the vet anticipate any complications when she measured the pelvic ring in her x rays? I hope for a safe and healthy delivery of those puppies. I'm glad you are working closely with a vet- they have emergency hours available I hope? Or you have a back up emergency vet on call?

| Of course, it is the weekend!! Get this little lady to a vet and have her xrayed now!!....you need to be measuring heads with calipers to determine ACCURATELY if this little lady is going to be able to even pass these pups. You need a knowledgable vet on call for possible c-section, or even just to deliver these babies so you dont loose the babies and/or momma. If your vet is clueless about how to measure heads with calipers and determine if the pelvic ring will allow the babies to pass through, get another vet! You are in a pickle and need help delivering these babies....ask your vet if he knows anyone familiar with "birthing babies" as Prissy from Gone With The Wind frantically pleaded! Praying for a successful outcome for this little lady and her litter. |

| The vet said she was good to go but I'm really worried she is showing no signs of labor an getting bigger. I feel the babies move. She doesn't eat her food but wants to eat my food.just took her temp it was 99.5. I did ask the vet Teaka was able to deliever her babies he told me to watch her close for pushing and no babies. I'm worried she hasn't shown any labor signs. |

| I hope your your puppies make it. If I had a little male around and he tied with my female I would of brought her in to the vet ASAP. I guess I would of had her spayed and the boy neutered in this case. I do not know anything about breeding yorkies but I did learn on Yorkietalk on buying a yorkie. My last yorkie which we loved so much had genetic IBD from an idiot breeder who still breeds today yorkies. We bought our little Kinder from a good breeder that knew what she was doing. I really praise Yorkiemom on this forum because she is a reputable person that knows all about breeding. Listen to her. I hope you can afford these two dogs and also the recovery of these dear babies. I have one yorkie and it is expensive especially her medical insurance we have on her. I pray all goes well for you and if these puppies make it hopefully they get good homes which would worry me. Susan |

It was time to pick them up but we are going to neuter my maltese. Getting Teaka spayed also.thank you .I really like this forum. |

| You need to be watching every video on YouTube and calling your vet. Googling everything on feeding and go get the stuff you need. They can't go long without food and its your responsibility to do what it takes to have them pull through. Also call every rescue and breeder in your area to see if there are any foster mom dogs that will take your babys to nurse.
