| I'm sorry you had to encounter this rude person. I understand that not everyone is an animal lover, but her reaction was nasty. You should have told her that you are allergic to obscenities.

| Seriously, with all the TOXINS floating in the air inside of a Home Depot store & she's worried about a tiny little dog. Too much for words |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I know you felt bad and I don't want to belittle that in any way. But honestly if some lady flipped me off over a little yorkie, I think I would've burst out laughing hysterically!! Were you tempted at all to do that, or were mostly just more upset about it? She sounds like grumpy piece of poo, but hey, at least she knows sign language ! But seriously, sorry this happened to you - what a buzz kill she must be to everyone around her, ya know?

And what's even more funny is that when I was checking out another man employee came up to me and asked if he could pet Ruger. Of course I said yes. The man said he heard the lady too. So I think she really made a fool, or worse, out of herself. Oh, and one person said, I wonder if she saw the big Huskey in here earlier. Ha! I can't imagine not loving dogs. I go out of my way to be nice to dog owners and their loving babies.

| She was way out of line. Home Depot allows dogs so you were not breaking any rules. If she has an issue she should have taken it up with the store and their policies not you. Plus it doesnt sound like your dog was jumping all over her from what you said. It always baffles me when people go out of their way to be rude about something that isn't really any of their business. |

| I see complaints about dogs, dog poop and dog owners pretty often over at some of the facebook pages I watch. These are neighborhood, city, camping, hiking and even mushroom pages. I usually just scroll on by but when I do comment, wheh, the hate is real! |

| Weeellll...I will say, some of those complaints are very valid. There are an unfortunate amount of really complaint worthy dog owners. But it is unfortunate that some awful grumpy old lady has to dis when the dog owner is doing nothing wrong, breaking no rules and she just decided to jump in to be hateful.

| I would rather see dogs in a store as opposed to some of the ill behaved children that I see on every trip to any store. Our dogs are usually leashed or carried. Most shopping trips would be more pleasant if people would control their children as well as most dogs are. Before anyone says anything, I do like children but well behaved children, although I blame the parent, not the child. |

| As for this post, what you should have said was, "I'm allergic to old bitties, but you don't hear me complaining to workers about you being in here." Honestly, just don't go into the store. I don't go into places that allow smoking. I can't stand the smell, but I'm not going to go in somewhere that allows smoking and then complain to the people who are. crazydoglade, I completely agree. I have a 15 year old son, but he was never disruptive in public. I've left a cart full of groceries in the store and took him home a couple of times to teach him I wouldn't put up with him not holding onto the cart (instead of running loose in the store). Only took a couple of times, and he never did it again. I also got him from hiding from me in the clothes rounders in a department store. I hid from him until he cried. When I came out, I asked him would he ever hide from he again. He never did. I also don't listen to whining. If he would whine, I would tell him I didn't understand whining and come back when he could talk. We also took our son outside if we were in a restaurant and he was not feeling up to par (which was very rare). We took turns eating. Now, my son's favorite place to eat is Olive Garden. We have to go to a neighboring city to go (a minimum hour drive), and I'm not paying $60-70 for us to eat and sit next to whining/crying kids/babies. Yes, I have asked to be moved. Sorry if people don't like it. I control my child -- you control yours. I know some may feel these things are cruel, but I never wanted my child to be a burden on other people. They are in public to shop or eat -- not listen to my child act out. I've never gotten a complaint about my only child being selfish or ill-mannered. That makes me proud. I would much rather EAT with a restaurant full of dogs than whining/crying children. |
