| Welcome to Yorkie Talk. Congratulations on your baby coming home soon! I take my boys a lot of places, anywhere that doesn't have food. Grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants (except some outdoor patio places) typically forbid pets.

| Welcome to YT and congrats on your soon to be new lil baby. If I am not sure if my boy is allowed in a store that I am going to I call and ask if dogs are allowed. It's always best to call ahead. I have a 12 lber, no carrier for him, he rides in the kiddie part of the cart lol.

YT 500 Club Member | Around here in the south most of our stores are very strict. Only places like Home Depot, Lowes, Co-op. Feed stores is ok to take our babies. Even if they are in a carry bag or held, our Mall, WalMart, Target, several others, will no doubt tell you to get them out. I would rather see a well behaved Yorkie in WalMart than a screaming snotty nose, child touching everything, and a dirty smelly diaper. Yorkies Rule!

| Please don't do this. Pet friendly places are fine, but don't try to take your dog to the grocery store. It makes things harder for disabled people with service dogs.

| I don't think sneaking them in places is a good idea but I take mine anywhere that they let me like obviously pet stores but Lowes and Tractor Supply let you and my therapist lets me bring them.

| Welcome! I do take Emma a lot of places where she is allowed to go. I work from home so she gets a lot of 1:1 time with me. Congrats on your baby, having a yorkie does make it easy to take your dog along with you.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT ! Service dogs can go everywhere, emotional support dogs can go many places but don't technically have the access service dogs do. Pets can go in many places these days - there are SO many more pet-friendly places now. I like the Celltei carriers for traveling.

| Remember that your puppy must complete series of shots plus waiting for a week or two after, before you can take him/her anywhere. Even in a carrier a puppy is very susceptible to illness, etc. Sobe patient and be safe, you'll have plenty of time to go fun places together when pup is a bit older! Looking forward to pictures! |
