| Eating and hiding poop! Help! My 5 months old is eating his poop and recently has been trying to hide it in his kennel and bed. Of course, this is only when there are accidents...I try my best to keep eyes open and get him out on time. He also is using his peepads great but for some reason thinks he is not suppose to poop on them! What do I do!?!?!?

| Oh how I wish I had an answer. Our 6 month old (Perseus) thinks poop is on the buffet. He waits on us to leave, and then goes while we're gone and eats it. He will eat Zeus's if we don't catch him. We have tried everything: Stop Eating Poop, powdered substance from the vet that you use five days in a row, pineapple, and of course, good old "no." Nothing has worked or helped. Perseus is a strange little puppy. He also chews on anything wood. My nickname for him is beaver boy. I bought bitter apple, and he licks it off the wood and still chews. I am at a loss with this one. I love him dearly, and he and Zeus are inseparable at this point; however, I'm about at my wits end with what to do about these two things. Good luck to you, and if you find a secret, please share with me!!! |

| This probably won't help you since it sounds like you've decided on indoor-potty training them, but if you decided to switch to outdoor, then you're able to pick up the poop right away That's the route we took - outdoor potty. Casie is horrible with eating poop too. She eats it like a magic show. Even when we're out and she poops, there's been a couple times where I'm strugglnig to open the poop bag and forgot to pull her away from the poop, the poop disappears literally within a second!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would buy Solid Gold's SEP (Stop Eating Poop) - worked immediately for us when Wylie was a pup.

| We used a tablespoon of pineapple a day when Laddy was a puppy for this and stopped the issue.
