| Puppy is here! My parents left for the weekend to pick up our newest addition Boston aka boss! He's super friendly and twice the size of teddy! He's been begging for me to let them play but Teddy is not very happy of this intrusion! I let them meet outside before bringing them both inside to play. Boss had 9 relative dogs before he came here so it's really confusing with this one won't play. How do I warm them up? Obviously Boss isn't allowed in my room that's teddys territory. Other than that the house and yard is fair game. He's 5 months old btw....

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Just give them time and TLC. Not all dogs like to play with each other either...it really just depends. Hope it goes well!

| Teddy will make friends on HIS time and terms, do NOT force him, he will come around. Puppies are frisky and overly playful, and new puppy is bigger then Teddy and will play harder then Teddy is use to. As soon as Teddy gets to know the new puppy they will be BFF, just let it come naturally for Teddy, and remember Teddy come FIRST. First to get a pat and welcomed when you come home, First to get fed, First to get treat, this way Teddy will not feel puppy has replace him. Congrats on new baby Boss. (hope puppy does not live up to his name lol)

| I do everything with teddy my dad handles boss. I put teds food and water out while he does boss's and then we all 4 went for a walk and Ted showed interested in the puppy till it got excited and tried to sniff him back. Currently boss is not allowed on the couch and in my room until teddy gives the say so! Ted did get a little nippy when we got back in the house just a scared leave me alone nip but other than that he's just been on the top of the couch observing this foreigner

| Congratulations on the new addition! I agree with everyone above to let the doggies work everything out on their own in terms of when and if to play. Walking together is good. Training together, performing tricks for treats, is also a favorite with my 2 boys. My Teddy was 8 months old when we brought him home from the breeder. I think he was thrilled to have only 1 Yorkie brother and to not have to compete with a bunch of dogs for the humans. He claimed my dad as his full time human.

| Haha they've been chasing each other around for a while but when Ted is tired of playing he gets back up on the couch so he's safe
