Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Aww, she is TOO cute !! Yorkies' coats can look soooo different as puppies, it's really true. Maybe your new puppy will be one of the darker ones (which I love!)...? I would probably look to this pup's parents and grandparents for an accurate color guess. How do they look?

| Well the woman sent me photos of the parents, but when we got there today the parents werent there in the room. They were very nice people and shes had first injections. But her paws are a sooty colour, and the tan is more of a calico colour rather than tan, so im not sure, have u got photos of your yorkies as pups? Xxx |

| Your babies are adorable! Was Pixie on the right a little older in that photo compared to your new puppy? Hair color can change fast. Max was darker in general as a puppy. He has a gold head as an adult. Teddy started out looking typical, but then turned white blond on his head and parts of his body. His adult colors are now typical Yorkie. So many color changes they both went through.

Some Yorkies' heads will "clear" the dark or multiple colors earlier than others. 3 lbs at 8 weeks, probably will be on the larger side full grown. The general rule for guessing adult size is to double the weight at 12 weeks. Not all pups follow the growth charts though. Both of my boys (full brothers) grew beyond the prediction. Save

| Chews was standard with just a bit of silver- like a few strands on her head. Now at 7 1/2 months she's shot throughout with silver, and her entire face, head, and legs are silver, blond, and auburn. Her body is also peppered with the silver. She's still changing as we speak. |

| I think theres something wrong with new puppy, when I pick her up her legs extend above her head, or one front leg will go out to the side, or sometimes they extend forward with her paws together? And her legs seem abnormally long, something doesnt seem right :/ |

| Maybe she is really really scared. Some puppies get very stiff when picked up by a stranger and hold their legs weird. Out front with paws together sounds like stiff scared. Where did you get her? Does she calm down and relax after you hold her for a while? |
