| Well, I am stumped Penny loves everybody and everything. She would run up to a Pitbull and try playing with it if I let her (I never would). Here's the weirdest thing though. My neighbor just got a Yorkie puppy. I was thrilled. I thought Penny would love it but she is terrified of it. The puppy wants to play and kiss Penny and Penny runs away. She is not playing; she is scared. My husband says maybe the puppy smells like something that is causing a bad memory. She was a stray. I am hoping that when the puppy is bigger, Penny will get over this so she has a playmate her own size. Any ideas? |

| Puppies can be rough and they have sharp teeth so maybe that's the issue?

| I agree, maybe the puppy is making some moves that Penny doesn't like? When we have met puppies, they jumped on my Yorkies' heads and swatted at their faces with their paws. Teddy really dislikes that.

| Piper loves other little dogs and approaches them with her little ears back and her entire little behind just a waggin' with joy. However, last week at a yard sale we met a young Chinese Chin (?); a sweet excited girl about Piper's size, who wanted to play---and Piper was totally put off by her...The dog wasn't overly aggressive or overly excited, just playful and doing those puppy-like shenanigans (pawing and such). You woulda thought that Piper was the Buckingham Palace Etiquette Dog or somethin' as you could soooo see her exasperation and disgusted nose-in-the-air attitude...Piper may as well have said it out loud (in a rather upper-crust British accent) cuz it was completely obvious that Pipe thought that pup was an ill-mannered little upstart! Unlike most other breeds (that I know of) our little ones certainly have strong opinions about many things and are more than happy to make those opinions known, any time, any place!!! (below: sooo over these kids nowadays) |

| I agree with rough puppy play, from my own personal experience, my older girls were terrified of a new puppy when I bought one home, puppy would pounce on them every chance she had lol. . Also puppies have a dif. smell that older dogs are not familiar with. As this puppy matures I am sure Penny will be friends.

Outside of his brother, Max is forgiving toward puppies who display bad manners. After being swatted in the face several times though, he will lean in and give a soft corrective growl. The puppies are usually unfazed and continue to paw at him. Max shakes his head slightly and lets out a little sigh, then looks to me as if to say, "Let's go."

My Scottie took one sniff of Casie when she came home at 5 months and he was scared! This was before she even put her puppy-play moves on him. If the puppy is friendly, they may eventually get along as they become more acquainted.

| It's probably kinda like people...we may get along well with one sister, the other sister not so much. We click w/one, but not the other--and there's no particular reason why...Who knows what goes on inside of our clever, complicated, cute little critters! |

YT 1000 Club Member | Are the 2 puppies different genders? Maybe she likes other girl dogs but not boys, or something. I have 2 puppies (siblings) that are now 15 months old. My mom got their little brother from another litter and every time he comes over the 3 of them just jump all over each other and play and it is so cute. I think they know that he is their brother somehow. It is so cute. Other puppies they are not so great with. We will be puppy sitting in a couple weeks so I hope that goes well with that puppy. I would give it a little time for the one puppy and maybe she will adjust to them as they get a little older.
