| New Yorkie Owner & New Member; Few Issues Lol Hello everyone. My name is Trina is my 15 week old Yorkie girl is Piper. We got her 3/27/16 and things have been going really well. I do have 3 quick issues I've been having as of late (although I might've solved one). 1. For the last 4 days Piper was peeing/pooping on her wee-wee pad in her crate but also on her bed. I thought it might be separation anxiety as we sleep upstairs and she's downstairs in the laundry room with a night light. And last night I tested a theory. I put her in a small crate in my 12 yr old's room and wouldn't know it. She pee'ed/pooped on the wee-wee pad but NOT her bedding. So looks like separation anxiety might be the problem. I'm going to try it again tonight. Anyone else experience this? 2. She's been rubbing her body and head against her bed and on the blanket she plays with in our family room on the floor. I'm thinking allergies? 3. Lastly, I recently tried the Isle of Dogs Shampoo/Conditioner/Silky Coating Brush Spray but while it smells great and does wonders on her coat. She seems to be rubbing her head/body against her bedding more which makes me think it's too strongly scented for her or irritating her in some other form. Sorry for being so long winded. Any advice for any of my questions would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to try to attach a picture of our girl so you can see her. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome ! She is just adorable!!! I hope she continues her success w/ the potties. As for the rubbing, no, I don't at all think it's allergies as pups this young can't really develop them yet, except for under extremely rare conditions. I think it's more likely just the "puppy itchies"...I think puppies in general scratch more for some reason. And their skin can get dry sometimes too. You may want to add fish oil or coconut oil to the diet...

| @Wylie's Mom-Thank you so much for the feedback. And yes, you may be right about her being too young for allergies. Fingers crossed on continued potting success. @JKPAL-Thank you for the kind words. Yes, Piper is our lil ray of sunshine. Your baby is adorable as well. | My Gidget did not like sleeping in a room away from us. Put her carrier in our room and she slept with no problem. They want to be near us and not separated in another room. |

| Your baby is adorable! The IOD brushing spray might be aggravating her. I use it on my boys, but it does have a heavy scent especially for puppies. Sometimes puppies rub around on the carpet or bedding for fun. Sometimes they combine it with scratching up their beds, like they are nesting. My boys do funny things when they are making their beds. My boys will rub their faces when I use something with a scent, like coconut oil or doggy toothpaste. They love it, but they rub. Their noses are really sensitive.

| @lilgidget-Thank you for your feedback. It's much appreciated. And yeah, last night was the 2nd night of her sleeping in the young one's room and she was fine. @abbysmom08-Thanks for the warm welcome and so far so good. I'll post more pics of Piper soon. She also has an Instagram page for anyone who'd like to follow: AYorkieNamedPiper is hers. Lol Created mainly for family and friends @captainzing-Thank you for your warm welcome. @Maximo-Ahhh yes! The IOD brushing spray is probably it! And yes, used it today after a bath and she seems ok right now. Only used a teeny bit. |

| I use that brand and love it. The only thing I did find wen my girl was itchy, based on friends advice on YT, is that I should rinse her several more times even though it seemed she didn't need it-it worked |
