| Vent about Guests This is just a vent. I took Boomer and Thumper to visit family in Long Island this weekend and they were constantly asking me which one was which. I finally yelled I will put a big sign on them so you can tell them apart. They only look a little a like. Thumper is wider in the behind and has more grey and silkier hair. He also has a very short nose. While Boomer is darker, more cotton hair and a longer face and nose. They also have different color collars. I was just frustrated that after spending hours with them and the fifth time being asked who was who I kind of lost it. I understand my two year old nephew not being able to tell them apart but everyone else were adults.

| I know this may sound odd, but people sometimes seem almost intimidated by our little ones. I don't know why...Maybe because Yorkies attract attention; maybe because Yorkies seem to have an uncanny knack for reading people...I don't know. I do, however, know what you're saying because it's almost like those people are jealous of or put off because Yorkies don't 'act' like the dogs they're familiar with, so it makes those people feel better by acting disinterested or acting like Yorkies are of no consequence (my how I do run on....) Thank God for our little sweethearts who are ever so much more interesting, genuine, kind, sweeter, funnier, and much, much more loving than many people!! Hope I'm making a little sense?! |

| Cut your family some slack. Your boys are like mine -- very different, but similar too. Would you believe that in a half lit room, at a distance, I mix up my boys. My older brother and his family had to constantly ask who was who, Max or Teddy. A couple times, I really had to look closely. Before I had my Yorkies, my eye was not very discerning. Many looked alike. Now I can probably identify by name close to 300 different Yorkies from friends and acquaintances here on YT and Facebook. Other breeds, I have trouble with because I don't pay close attention.

| Wanted to add, when we are out walking, people often ask me if my boys are twins. Really, they don't look that much alike, but to other people they do.

| I get that question a lot also. I realized I should be less hard on them to me they are so easy to tell apart.

| I love them. If I had my way I would have a whole houseful of Yorkies. Every time I see one on petfinder.com I have to keep telling myself you cannot afford another one with all of their daily costs. They are very expensive. I get slightly jealous when I see that someone got a new baby on here. I love having multiple animals to come home to and cuddle. Its the best feeling in the world.

| LOL Your boys are just adorable! Does your relative have dogs? If not, maybe they're just not used to seeing two similar looking dogs? Not sure if this is a good example but.. If a white person looks at bunch of Asian, they might all look the same even though there are noticeable difference. Does this even make sense? LOL |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I am going to tell you a true story from a breeder albeit not of Yorkies. We were at a summer show and as oftentimes we will do ==we had a BBQ afterwards It was dark and I went to get my boy to show him off to our friends and unbeknown to me my hubby and my breeder had taken him out for a walk and put her male in his crate. I called Magic to me kind of shrugged my shoulders when he did not come immediately. But he did come finally. I walked him over to the firelight and then said holy sheet he is not Magic - then I panicked for where was my MAGICMAN??? So don't be so hard if folks who hardly know your boys can't tell them apart. I have a long tailed gal and short tailed boy and folks are constantly mixing them up.
