| Color changes Hi guys. I was wondering if any of your yorkies had white spots on their chests when they were babies. Eleanor has one, but I have never seen an adult yorkie with one. When she gets her adult coat will it go away? It's really cute and she'll be beautiful either way, but I'm curious what to expect.

| I heard the white spot on her chest is a sign of a silky coat. 4 of my 5 puppies had white spots. I cannot find the white on any now. They are 7 months old now. I just stopped to flip them all, Quattro was in my lap and his entire chest is golden, but Robyn's is black. Their chest color seems to vary from one to the next. I had actually never noticed that before???

| Yes, white on a puppy's chest is totally normal. They may even have a little white on the tips of their toes. The white all grows out. I have seen a couple adult Yorkies on YT that the white remained on the chest. I have never seen it in person though. |

| Jess had a big white patch on her chest and her two hind feet were white on the tips. After a couple weeks it was gone. The funny thing was, where the tips of her toes were white, her nails were too and at first they were SO easy to cut because I could see where the quick was! lol. That disapeered too. |

| Can you tell me what type of hair they should have at 3 months. (This is the first yorkie I have owned). she is quite fluffy. I read that there are three types of hair, but I am not sure how old they are before you can determine which one your puppy has. Thanks for any help you can offer. sharon |

| Hey guys - help me out - my puppy is 3 months old - how do I tell what kind of hair she has. I read that there are 3 types but they may change. Anyone have a clue. It is quite fluffy but not flat. |

| Thanks for the replies guys. Rhonda, thanks for the pics. How old is Bailey? If it denotes quantity of hair does the blaze mean she will have alot of hair or less?

| Sully is one year and five months old and still has the white spot on his chest. He has a little white spot on his chin, too, kinda like a gotee, LOL. He has a tiny bit of white on the tips of his toes, too, but only a tiny spot on each foot. We thought he'd grow out of it, but he is nearing 2yrs old and still has it. It's not really breed-standard but it's still cute. Sully doesn't mind and neither do I!

| Oh okay! Thanks! I will be brushing everyday as soon as she gets here. lol nevermind if she doesn't have a whole lot of hair yet. We know now the shape of things to come. Val, Sully is a sweetheart. Your pics and videos crack me up. As for the breed standard, I can't say that I was planning to show her anyway and it doesn't make the least bit of difference to me if she complies fully. As long as she is healthy and happy. She is three weeks old today and a whopping 1lb!

| My Benz has a blaze that he never grew out of but I still used him as a stud and he gave us beautiful babies. This kind of fault I can live with in my breeding program. BTW the second pic is his mom and she doesnt have the blaze
