| It's tough to tell from the pictures but let me try to help you decide which coat type it is. Sliky coat is just that. Smooth and straight like the girls in the Pantene ads. Cotton coat is more fuzzy. It tangles easier and the texture is similar to a cottonball or q-tip if you pull the fibers apart. Hope that helps |

| A silky coat isn't nearly as tangly. I've read that their eyes are green in pictures (like how people's are red). Also a puppy with white markings on their chest as a baby should be a silky. If you can brush their hair easily, it is probably a silky coat. Much easier to care for. Your pictures show beautiful coats! It is obvious you take great care of his coat. It looks silky to me.

| I brush mine about daily, each. Once in a while I will find a tangle, but they are usually pretty easy. They will roll into a little ball, like a baby when I brush them, I love it, too. Mason is beautiful - I can see that you take good care of it. I am trying to grow Zowie's coat, I shaved her when she had puppies in May.

| OK - yep! those are green eyes I kept ALL her babies, found I was not cut out to be a breeder, I just loved them all too much and the thought of letting one go was horrible. My darling softee hubby turned (I knew when he started calling them by name - he was hooked). So now I have six and love them all to pieces. I love his PJ's! They are so cute. I used to love to do Zowie's hair, but the puppies pull them out. I put up everyone's hair last week, they looked so sweet, but my skinkids took out the boys and the pups did the rest.

| I kinda had the same question. My Lady has a beatiful soft coat and not cottony to the touch but when she wears sweaters she gets terribly matted in just 3 hours... I have seen the green eyes in one of her pictures too...I'm confused. Love her either way. |

| My Roxie is a cotton coat. Her eyes do shine red/orange. She is still 97% black at over a year old. But I actually love it!

| My Gracie is also a cotton coat. She is 17 months old and still completely black and gold - no silver or blue. Her hair is also only about 3 inches long and I have never cut the length.
