| If he's 7, I think you might want to consider using his current name? |

| Hmm, when changing names just consider to keep it simple and easy, and let them get use to it. But you can also go through various names to see which they respond to best Usually something that's 2 syllables and ends with a "y" or y-like sound. Like Toby, etc. But if anything whatever you prefer, you just may have to train them to recognize it. Otherwise, if his previous name seems to work best then it won't hurt to go with it ^^ There's plenty of suggestions in past posts/thread but here's some of my suggestions. Toby, Max, Mick/Mic, Zax, Zack, Jackie, Joe, Joey, Mickey, Mike, Mikey, etc.

| Even though he is older, you can most def change his name. The dog will adapt to it eventually. My MIL got a yorkie about 4 years old. She changed her name. We got Toto at almost 8 yrs, and while he does answer to Toto, he also goes by at least a half dozen other names too. Whatever you call the dog, he will be happy to get the attention, so it really doesn't matter.

| I would not change it. We kept Mario's the same and he had it only 3 weeks. He was a year old when we got him. We do not know what he was called before the pound, but so much in life had already changed, we wanted to offer him tiny bit of comfort we could. Changing everything else in their lives is already stressful enough, if you can possibly live with Pluto, stick with it for his comfort sake.
