| Destructive Teddy will not stop breaking toys! If it's these plastic hollow animals our flea market sells he will chew the limbs off, stuffed toys he picks at the seams till stuffing falls out, his rubber rock he chews chunks out, and my carpet is covered in rope string! Help me teach him ?

| My girls would rip those toys apart too- we only have skineez (unstuffed animals), braided , knotted fleece strips (handmade) a few balls (chuckit! are good- they chew the fuzz off tennis balls) a few nylabones, and some infant soft teething toys that get checked and disposed of when they find a seam to rip. |

| Because I live in tim buck too, I buy from amazon. See if any of this stuff for "aggressive chewers" is in your price range: https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb...oys+aggressive

| I cannot bring any stuffed toys or toys with "attachments" (eyes, buttons, etc) home. Both Max and Sasha will just sit down and chew until they get them off or tear the stuffing out. I just make sure I buy rubber toys. I have a couple of small balls they love to play with and they absolutely go crazy over the little kong, especially when I put a little peanut butter in it. Nylabones are another favorite. Sasha used to chew the edge of the carpet but after several hundred "NO Sasha!"' I think she finally grew out of it.

| We tried a tennis ball with Max and he just sat down and scraped and scraped until he got all the fuzz off the ball, leaving behind one big mess. No more tennis balls for him.

| He will chew a little fuzz then get distracted and play soccer by accident (he gets so mad when balls roll away)

| Well, obviously you're not knocking the stuffing out of these items and somebody has to "kill 'em!" I would, however, be very careful to pick up all them varmints and then parcel out one-at-a-time so you can inspect toy as he plays---and always, always supervise your guy when he is playing. Even though toys can become pricey, I want to make sure I'm getting items that have passed inspection (i.e. more difficult to destroy and less likely to be harmful). I think others here even make their own toys for their babes---clever people, you! |

YT 1000 Club Member | I have been lucky in the toy area. They mostly just play with their toys. Once in a while they will sit down and completely destroy one toy at random but then they won't destroy another for weeks or even months. I do have some really nice "teething" dog toys that I added to an Amazon order I was already placing and got them fairly cheap and they are holding up well. One is a set of keys that look similar to baby toy keys but are actual dog toys. They have held up through the puppies from day one. If you can try to give him a toy and play with it with him and take it away when he starts destroying it maybe? I don't get upset when my randomly just destroy a toy, I just throw it away or pull out the squeaker and the rest of the stuffing and leave them the empty body to play with. Mine will chew any kind of paper they can get to and chewed all the corners of a photo album I had out (in their reach) and other things. They have tried to chew other things and normally I say NO and take it away and put it out of their reach and they mostly seem to get it. Mine are quite young though so they are still learning. Teek luckily does not chew things, except trash, he loves trash. Good luck and just keep trying. I did use some bitter apple when they were little and starting to chew on cabinets and other things. It has to be applied often though.

| I have been able to find the chuckit balls at TJMaxx, the infant toys at yard/chuch sales- works to my advantage, no one wants used baby toys but the dogs don't mind and they are so washable, (a net laundry bag in the washer with their bedding once a week) The fleece strips are cut off old blankets or old sweat pants or jackets. The nylabones at Walmart- as they got older they like the blue nubby one. A basket of good solid toys last a long time compared to throwing out dangerous junkie ones. |

Another one but more pricey are the JQ balls at Petsmart. He couldn't break it but it is more thick and harder to squeeze. So it tends to pop out of his mouth more. He couldn't break that one either but we ended up losing it, so can't say that it outperformed the Alldogboots ones.
