| Spayed in another country. NEED HELP! Hi everyone my 6 month old is getting spayed in France. I am pretty terrible at the language and worried I wont understand how to care for her. Only thing I got was to give her water but no food from 8pm the night before. How long will it take for her to recover? Does she need to wear a cone or special clothing ( i heard onesie was a good idea)? and any other advice? Thanks so much |

| Hi I used a onesie on my Bella when she was spayed But you can use a cone just make sure she doesn't lick or bit at the stitches. She will be sleepy and not as active but they come around very quickly . You can google anything you dont understand, that may help. I am sure all will go well don\t worry to much. |

| I used a human baby onesie instead of the cone. Seems like it would be more comfortable for them. Just use the outer snaps to go around the tail. Some have three snaps so just don't use the center one, but I think most only have two. the front of the onesie for a human goes on the back for the dog. Usually after two or three days are back to normal.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Use a onesie or a soft cone for a few days. The first night she comes home, she may be VERY out of it, groggy etcetera. Make SURE you come home WITH pain meds AND a pain plan -- as in, what are you supposed to do/give *if* her pain isn't being managed with whatever amount of pain med is being given. Very important!

| It's a baby tshirt that's one piece and wraps around their legs and snaps in between the legs. |
