YT 3000 Club Member | chester pooping issues I need some ideas if anyone has any, Chester has been pooping in different places he usually never does, almost always does the potty pads when Im at work. I noticed several times when we were outside doing his business he would poop and ran away quickly like something was hurting to go poo. He had a vet appt last Wednesday and he got his rabies and kennel cough stuff and I mentioned it to my vet. I thought maybe anal glands and barely anything in there and he watched him walk around. He thinks he might have done some thing to his tail. He pooped all over the carpet the other day, and tonight after work on my laminate and on the carpet and he peed on the carpet or missed the potty pad. I have not spent more time away than usual, so I will see if it gets better. Im thinking about closing the bedroom off to him from now on, as he sleeps on the sofa when Im gone anyway. He seen that I was unhappy tonight, and looked guilty. I barely said anything to him, they are too smart. Im sorry for the long post. I cannot get upset at that cute little face. |

| Poor guy. I hope he feels better soon. I know when cats have pain peeing or pooping, they associate the pain with the little box, or where they go to do their business. I wonder if it is the same for dogs. Perhaps that is why he is going in weird places. I see you mentioned even when outside he is acting strange? Any change in diet? Maybe he is constipated? Is the poo consistency normal?
