YT 500 Club Member | My dogs are addicted to wood Ok, so there's a ton of tree branches and sticks in our back yard. And even though my roomate gathers them all up and burns them, thr dogs constantly defy our wishes and hunt more down. And every time we turn around there they are, proudly destroying another stick like their life depends on. I spend a good portion of my life confiscating the sticks and crushing all their hopes and dreams . But they are dilligent little terrorists, and the forces of evil are on their side apparantly, because I am losing this battle. And when I clean up after the dogs I cannot tell you how often I find a piece of excrement that is filled with pieces of wood. So much so that I shudder to think of how that must have felt on the way out. I mean, that just CAN'T feel good. yet they all do it. I haven't had to rush them to the vet yet, but it's always a thought that it's bound to happen at some point. Do they ever grow out of this seemingly dangerous addiction to manually mulching tree branches?I mean Ive found chunks the sizr of my thumb nail imbedded in their poop. That is crazy.

YT 500 Club Member | yeah , it is impossible to keep them away from the sticks. And sometimes their poo is hardly poo, just logs of sticks . It stresses me out cause if Toby can't pass one it's gonna be hell at the vets, since Toby won't let a groomer or the vet near him without creating a violent scene. And he's already very sensitive about anyone touching his bum. They are so stubborn about some things, and wood is definitely one of those things.
