| 4OC-new to boards Had 1 yorkie that lived 16.5 years. Was the love of my life and still miss him today. Prince Charming a.k.a PC; Puppy; Not a Chance -- he actually answered to this so we had to stop using this term in the house. Was just 3 pounds and anything tried never put another pound on him. Under all his hair he was skin and bones. We tried everything including cottage cheese, puppy cookies with ice cream on the side, raw meats, potatoes with butter (he hated gravy), plus +++++++. Never gained even an ounce beyond 3 pounds. Only dog food he and his pet cat would eat was i/d - canned/dry. Everything else upset his tummy. BTW, he saw 3 vets to help him gain weight. The last one said "he's just going to always be a twiggy puppy. He has nothing wrong medically so just have fun and a long life with him." So that's what I did. 16.5 years of pure pleasure. One little quirk he had was NEVER going anywhere except his own back yard. When we moved across country we had to prepare. Let him go against a red brick and then we had to bag that up and carry it in the trunk so I could get it out every time he had to do his business. Went to my sister's house one time with him and he waited 12.5 hours to go. CARRIED him into the backyard before his little toes touched the ground. Thought the flood of Noah was coming back. He went for almost 3 minutes. Haven't had the heart to get another Yorkie but have 3 C-A-T-S who think they own the house (AND mostly do). |

| I understand about your fine little felines ruling the roost! I hope in time you're able to open your heart and home to another precious pooch because you are obviously a very loving, very caring, very warm-hearted person. Thank you for sharing some of your loving memories of your much-loved baby. |

| Hi and welcome to the group. Sounds like you had an amazing life with Prince Charming. I am so happy to know that the wee ones can live a long life. You sound like a fabulous doggie mom, so I hope you will give another pup a wonderful life, just like you did with PC.
