| Help with eatting(baby) MY little girl is 9 months old now and I am having a hard time getting her to eat....I mean eat anything....I have to sit with her and get her to eat just a bit...I did phone the breeder and she told me to put some syrup on my finger and let her lick some, and that will get her appetite stimulated? That is not working....she will go all day without eating....she drinks water.. I do have another Yorkie that is 9 years old, and she just weighed in at 10 lbs...she could lose a bit of weight...lol.... any suggestions would help....please.....we just had her fixed a month ago, she seemed to be fine with the surgery??....

| What are you feeding her? Sometimes my little girl does't want to eat either, and I will sprinkle some Pure Bites Freeze Dried Liver (crushed up) over her food and mix it in, then she always starts eating. This worked for my other Yorkies also. I don't use this treat for training, as the pups love it so much, I want to save it for those times that she is not eating, or when she uses the UGO pad to pee or poop. You might want to try that, all pet stores cary it. Have never seen a pup that did not love this treat!

| Lacy is a Biewer. A very sweet Biewer. :-) If your little girl is not eating and losing weight, I would definitely take her to the vet for a check up, asap. How much does she weigh? If she is small, which I assume she is, it is dangerous for them not to eat for a day or two, they can become sick pretty fast. Have you checked her gums to see if they are bright pink?

| Try a sprinkle or Parmesan cheese over her food. It's fine for pups and even good for extra calories if she's not eating much. It does the trick for us when my girls are ever "off" food. If you search Parmesan you will see its recommended over and over. I hope it works for your little pup. Like Sharon said, if this goes on too long it could mean trouble fast. What has your vet suggested?

| Hey Sharon, yes she is a Biewer...we just had her fixed about 3 weeks ago and she weighed in at 3lbs 3 oz...... she will eat her kibbles at night. I have tried different foods. Cezar? Sp dry food as well as wet food.....I just bought some canned food at the vets here a few weeks ago...she loves hamburger with noodles....I just went over to look at the diet section here on YT and noticed that a person can feed a lot of human food...so that is what I will do....she does eat, but very little. This is the problem, I have an older Yorkie that loves her food...lol....If I keep the food out, my older Yorkie will eat it all and leave nothing for the pup.....I have decided to put the pup in an area where she can eat on her own periodically through out the day...she really does not want to eat.... I am going to try and post some pictures of her...she really is a doll

| Have you checked her temperature for a fever ? Any other signs of an illness? I would take the temperature and go over all her body and exam everything to see if you can find anything unusual. Chicken breast is a great protein source and they love it. Have you tried it? Blessings. Xoxo

| By the time I got home from school, she had seemed to perk up a bit...she had a big supper...it consisted of yummy porkchops from the crockpot..yummy...and for desert she had a little bit of cream cheese.... I phoned the vet yesterday because I was concerned. He said it could be teething. I gave her a chew stick yesterday and she chewed like crazy...I concurred with the vet...she was feeling much better...however, having said that, she really is a picky eater and knowing that I need to make her some different foods. thanks everyone, I really appreciate all your comments
