| Duchess creeps me out sometimes I do love my baby but sometimes she creeps me out. For example, every evening I have a routine. When it is time for bed, we go upstairs and Duchess (after playing)gets in the bed on her pillow and blankie. However, she doesn't go to sleep, she just watches me while I am getting ready for bed (shower, brush teeth, lotion down etc). When I look her in the eyes, her eyes do not divert. She stares right back at me but not defiantly like a cat would. My cat could stare me down, and if looks could kill I'm sure I would of die at least a thousand times. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone else babies do this. The other pets I had in the past would just go to sleep and would be snoring by the time I got in bed but not Duchess she just watches me. I also think she is an insomniac or she is a very light sleeper. I've had her for about 18 months and I have only seen her eyes closed a few times. When she is extremely tired she will sleep soundly and will even snore but mostly she never sleeps. I've had pets my whole life and all of them loved sleeping. Duchess is the only pet I've ever had that doesn't sleep. |

| We had one that did what you describe. It turned out she had an ability to sense human heart beat irregularities. A family member was diagnosed with apnea because of her ... Yes, amazing, her staring and light sleep became like a life watch, every time this family member would go to sleep, and started "chocking" she was right there ready to get in action and safely wake her owner up. Eventually we described this "creeping dog behavior" to the doctor who ordered some tests and a sleep test and diagnosed a life threatning sleep apnea! Special little friends! We are truly blessed to have the opportunity to share our lives with these amazing creatures . They are more than just "toy dogs" they have a purpose in our homes, and we figure it out as time goes by and we share experiences . She is just watching out for you 😍🐾🐾❤️ It is her duty ! Blessings, Xoxo

| Quote: lovelovelove!!! I love when Piper holds a look with me because she couldn't look me in the eye at all when I first got her, let alone stare at me. So now she is putting together that she can "control" me by using those big brown peepers! | |

| I've said this before, their power is in the eyes......she is putting you under YMC or Yorkie Mind Control. Maybe that's why Duchess freaks me out when she stares at me. Maybe she thinks she doesn't have me 100% under control and she needs to zap me more often. |

| My first yorkie, Charlie, did this thing that would creep out everyone. You could say, "Charlie, where's the ghost?" and he would slowly turn his head looking around the room and then stop and stare just above the head of the person who asked. I'm not sure when or how he learned this trick. But it was hilarious. My brother in law would freak out every time he did it.

| Lilah watches my every move but I am afraid it is more of a neurotic thing than anything else! She definitely rests and sleeps but she is my buddy, my bonded companion and I am 'the light of her life' I would actually really like to get her a puppy sibling as soon as it is feasible to do. She is almost three and I really think she would benefit from a buddy. But yes, when I ask, "where is Lilah?" Almost always the answer is, "right behind you!" I think she is behaving as my pack member, watching me, protecting me and expecting the same back from me and I'm glad she has my back

| My bath room is off the bed room and Cody does the same thing, sits on the bed, gotta watch that mama does not escape through the "hidden" door without him lol My now passed Matese HAD to be with me all the time, no bed sitting for her, she was in the bathroom watching me lol, showers I would close the door slightly in the winter to keep the draft out, the bathroom door would slowly open scaring the c!!p out of, flash back to the movie Psycho. My 3 now passed girls, when I lived in my NY apartment the bathroom was in a foyer, out of habit I would close the door leaving it open a crack, before my back was turned they would push the door open and all 3 would be in the bathroom watching what the mama was doing lol, ya just gotta love these yorkies.

YT 2000 Club Member | My little yorkie, Maggie Mae, will do this. When I am in my recliner, she comes and sits about three inches away from my face. Then she will just sit there staring into my eyes for several minutes. None of my other dogs have ever done this. I am closer to her then any other pet I have ever had.
