| Are organic Bellyrub Chicken Strips ok to feed pups? The pet store owner told me they are his best selling item, and that dogs love them. They kind of look like rawhide, which I know is very dangerous for dogs, but he said they were not like rawhide at all. The only ingredient listed is CHICKEN FILLETS. Are they ok to give a 3.5 month pup? |

| Make sure to check the treats are made in the USA. Do NOT give anything made in China, ever! Made in Canada is also ok. I'm sure there are other countries that make good products but I stick to those made here and Canada only. That being said, if you buy organic chicken for your own family, just boil up some for the pup at the same time. No need to buy treats.

| I also buy USA, Canada, and got some from Germany that was inspected with USA standard's. Buddybear loves them but I carefully give him tiny pieces. Tonight he saw the bag on the kitchen counter and he started barking at it. Got my attention..... lol

| I didn't start giving those kinds of treats until Emma was a little older, just until all her adult teeth were in. Digestion chicken jerky is basically all it is and is fine.

| Thanks everyone, they are made in the US. Will wait until she has her adult teeth before I give them to her. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would give chews to puppies, especially yorkies, as the chewing may help dislodge loose baby teeth when ready -- avoiding needing extractions later, like during a spay/neuter. Just keep a close eye, as we always do w/ doggies w/ chews.
