| Congratulations on getting a new fur baby. I recommend introducing them slowly and under strict supervision until the pup gets older. Has your female been around other dogs much? How she reacts to him really depends on her personality and how well she has been socialized. The best thing in the beginning is for the pup to have his own area, either a gated off room or an exercise pen so your female can escape him when she needs a break. Some pups at 3 months, depending on size and personality, can wear out an adult in no time. Best of luck with him and be sure to keep us updated on how he does.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | https://youtu.be/xYm-rSCmG9k Here is a video of my large breed puppy being introduced to my adultYorkie. At this point in time the puppy weighed almost 3x Razzles weight. Note the controlled environment - the crates and the two adults in the room. Note the continued petting and loving going on between the two dogs and the stoppage of too rough play. Note how we introduced first our own home and ourselves to that puppy. It was late at night when we picked her up from the airport - if it was daytime she would have been introduced to our backyard first. Male female intros are usually quite easy - males know a female when they smell them. Males are usually hard wired to accept females. So in essence keep the environment small and controlled show equal loving to both dogs - and then see how they get on.

| Thank you so much the video gives me a good idea of things to do we will try and introduce them outside as long as it isn't to cold for the dogs . I love that the smaller dog is the one you had to stop from being rough |

I usually do these kinds of intros on my own with the foster transports. But, I love having Kaji around for the lonely drive home, and it serves as good practice to hopefully have him accept a permanent new little one in our home. So far so good!! He always plays nice with all the foster transports he meets. But I do make it a point to have them meet outside in our enclosed backyard. Especially since 90% of the time the fosters are boys, and then everyone feels the need to mark everything.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | LOL on the Yorkie - a well bred and temperament Yorkie should be a feisty little dog. But even though our darling gal was 3x his weight at almost 8wks old she is still a very young puppy to be protected from aggressive and or too harsh play particularly on her first night home
