Arya's scratched nose has bumps Hello YT community. I'm concerned about my baby's nose. Sunday morning she seemed to have a scratch on her nose, raw with a little blood. First thing Monday I took her to the vet and was given antibiotics and a collar. 3 days later the scratch is the same and there are bumps around it, they look like burn blisters. I'm really worried. Anyone else experience this?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT. Is this only occurring in that one spot or is she itching anywhere else? I'm assuming the vet did a quick skin scrape and looked at it under scope...? If so, what was the result? Is this a puppy or adult? If a puppy, I'd be concerned about Puppy Strangles, which is so often missed by vets as a diagnosis.

Hi Wylies mom She's 2 yrs old and the bumps are only around the scratch. The vet didn't do anything just said here are antibiotics so the wound doesn't get infected and keep the collar on so she doesn't scratch. I have read in so many places that dogs heal quicker but my poor baby just seems worse. See pic attached.

My goodness that looks very uncomfortable... It looks like she has one near her eye as well. Maybe some kind of allergic reaction? Maybe the scratch was from a branch or something like poison oak? And since it broke the skin maybe it's causing the blistering.

An allergic reaction? I didn't even think of that, I'm going back to the vets today, I can't believe they just handed me some antibiotics. My poor Arya is not herself at all, she's miserable and just lies there with sad eyes. Thanks peeps.
