I'm A Yorkie And I'm Da..m Proud Of It!!! What is it with these judges and announcers and Yorkies???Don't they know Yorkies are the third most popular breed in the country, and a Yorkie has more class than any other breed there, but still the judges hardly give our poor guys a second look. You would have a very hard time convincing me that with all the Yorkies in this world that there is not one that is not the best of the bunch... A proud Yorkie dad....

You go proud Yorkie Dad.......I agree 100%. I didn't watch it this time just because of that. I get so excited when I see the Yorkies compete and then just so darn mad when they don't win.

I love Yorkies, but because they are popular does not mean they are well bred and should win BIS..but I looked at the AKC results of the Eukanuba show, there were some lovely Yorkies..and Ava Tyree's new boy is terrific. Maybe he will pull off a group win in NY if he is shown there. There was a Havanese named Flirt who exhabited what judges look for in a show dog..conformation AND temperment..she was full of attitude. When the audience clapped she turned her head to started hamming it up for them..she was totally into showing off. Last edited by YorkieRose; 01-16-2006 at 01:42 PM.

I know I am prejudice with the Bichon and Yorkie because these are the two dogs I have. But I love all breeds of dogs - and when the finals come and the Best of Show is finally choosen -- I am almost always in agreement with the judges. These final dogs are always exceptionally beautiful examples of their breed. But for now - I have never been able to fault the final choices. They are always awesomely beautiful dogs! And - we know "popularity" isn't a deciding factor. I'm sure one day a little Yorkie will strut out there and win the show. Let's cross our fingers and wait for that wonderful little guy to show up..... Carol Jean

| Did anyone catch the non working class breedes. The Judge breeds shih zus and picked a shih zu as the winner of that group. Politics definitely plays a role in who wins

I thought the yorkie was beautiful, but so was the Maltese! I also thought the Springer Spaniel was stellar. Miss Lexy would bark at them on tv! She is so funny!
