| Marking when neutered???? Okay so Maximus has been neutered since 5 months, and has never lifted his leg NOR does he mark outside. Recently when Chicle slept over..Maximus would pee over his pee ont he pads and would even mark certain spots in the house..like in front of the door and by his bed. He has been potty trained since about 5 months fully with pee and has never had an accident there...PLUS he would do it in little squirts. Now Jenn (Jcarlson) took Maximus for the weekend and comes to find out he did the same thing in her house..he even marked poor tia..(still in squatting formation)....is he going to do this to every house that he goes to where a male dog is present??? He doesn't have this problem where there are girl dogs...only when there is a male as well. Can I do anything....I have no idea what to do Maximus will be a year old next month..and i am absolutely boggled..I thought the incident with Chicle was a fluke!!

| Both Hefner and Buddha are neutered but when Buddha is here they will both mark and my daughter says Buddha marks at her house all the time so she keeps a bellyband on him when she cannot watch him closely. Hefner goes on the pads 99% of the time. Even my 5 year old neutered standard poddle will pee over the yorkie pee on the pads. I don't think neutering prevents marking in all dogs. I just think it lessens it a little. |

| Chachi does the same thing!!! It is so aggravating. I cant take him in a Petsmart or a Petco because he does it there or at the vets. I have a female also and he never does it at my house or try to hump her. He only does it where there are other male dogs. And yes hes been neutered too.

| I think it is a Male dominance thing. Bailey is neutered ( 6 months) he marked once, before he was neutered, inside at a friends w/ a male, and once after his neutering, at my moms who has a male cat. But that is the only times.. But he does do it outside nonstop.

| We take everyone outside when we have doggy company. They will run in circles trying to pee on each other's pee. Maybe the belly band would be good for those instances when you have to be in the house. It's kinda like potty training over again, same with barking. Address the situation or it seems to get worse. Watch them carefully at first and tell them no.

| Poor little Tia!! Not having a male, I don't have much advice to give. I would just suggest getting him a belly band. I guess I thought marking would be eliminated if males were nuetered early enough. |

| Busy girl.....I do bookkkeping so the end of the year kills me...BUT I had to ask because I thought early neutering would have stopped that too...my vet said he is an alpha..hard to stop the trait ..natural instinct..lol, so I am screwed
