| How do you pronounce BIEWER? I have been on many Biewer Terrier sites and no one seems to agree on how to pronounce Biewer. Some say like "beaver", some say "Beeva" like "Diva". I would really like to know for when I get mine. Thanks!

| I agree, a "beaver terrier" just doesn't sound nearly as cute as a Yorkie! lol

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I've always understood from the Biewer breeders on YT that it's pronounced "Bee-vah".

| Why not ask the breeder? She should know the proper way to pronounce the name.

| I was taught by the breeder and a Swiss friend to pronounce it like bee-vahr. A cute little story...I was at the vet clinic with Sprite and a lady came in with a little Biewer. I told her that her little pup was adorable and asked if it was a Biewer (bee-vahr). She said she had never heard of that breed but her little puppy was a Biewer (rhymes with viewer or sewer). I just smiled but that was the first time I ever heard it pronounced that way.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | LOL. Brewers have something to do with making coffee. It's even spelled wrong that way. Only an R at the end of the word. I call the dogs Beeva rhymes with Diva. |

| Ok, I think the majority of suggestions, here and from other breeders, is Beevah, rhymes with Diva. In my personal opinion, they SHOULD be called DIVA's! ;-) |

| Nope - the Yorkies are DIVAS - the little black and white dominoes are BEE VAs. I know, I have a diva and a bee-va!!! |

This YouTube Is old, and it's added to the confusion of pronouncing Biewer. Sometimes she say Biva and sometimes you can hear more of an r at the end.
