| Having a hard time finding a good breeder I am wanting to get a smaller yorkie from a good breeder in my area (Pittsburgh). I cannot find one I trust! Right now I have a 7 mo old yorkie/poodle mix and she's 13 lbs. She's still small for her. But I want a small purebred yorkie. Can someone help me find my new baby? | When you are wanting a healthy yorkie from a reputable breeder, you often have to extend your borders.....go to dog shows and get the names of breeders that are showing there....look at their dogs and take names, make a list...then investigate the people on that list.....find out where they live, how often they breed their dogs and do they sell the babies that are not show quality. Reference and cross reference, investigate and research.....it takes time and patience and dedication and effort, but you do all this up front, and your chances of ending up with a sad disaster on your hands is much less! You can fly just about anywhere in the country on Southwest Airlines for decent rates, and fly home with your baby in a carrier at your feet! Make a reasonable investment up front, and you may very well avoid much more costly heartbreak later on..... |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You could try some show breeders at ytca.org - many of them will fly their puppies in cabin to you, for a reasonable fee.
