Senior Yorkie Talker | Sad little puppy My family and I decided to go to the local flea market yesterday. They have some ppl there who make clothes for dogs and of course I was excited to go. I got there and they had added a so called "pet store". And guess what...they had a yorkie. It was a male and they wanted $999 for him. He had to be the more pitiful little guy I have ever seen. He looked like he was missing hair and he was so skinny I almost could have wrapped one hand around his waist. I just started to cry. The lady told me he was a teacup well that just set me off and I stareted telling her that there was no such thing as a teacup yorkie and she tried to tell me that it said it on his papers. I ask to see them and of course she said she didn't have them. She also told me that there were 3 more just like him at her other pet store. I didn't realize how much my 8 year old son had listen to me about yorkies but he started on the lady telling her that that baby was sick and she needed to take him to the vet. He looked at me and said "mom we should call somebody to come get him cuz he is being abused". His tail wasn't cropped. He was just so sad. My heart is broken and my son told me that we just needed to save our money and go get him so we could help him and get him out of this situation. Please pray for this little guy.

| I feel so bad for that little guy. It is amazing how people only care about money. A "friend" of my husband asked why I spayed Gucci and I told him cause I wasnt going to breed her. He then ask why not. I said cause first of all I dont think Gucci is the best form of the standard. Dont get me wrong to me she is beautiful but she is not a show dog. She is a perfect pet. I also added that I didnt know anything about breeding and I wasnt going to put my baby under any unecessary risk. To what he added that I was stupid cause I will have made lots of money selling the pups cause now Yorkies are "In". That got me so mad, and I told him off. I told him that Gucci was not a money making machine, she was my baby. I know this is not reference to selling pups at pet stores, but I was refering to how some people see them. It saddens me that poor dog you saw wasnt healthy and that lady just care about making a buck and not giving the pup the proper care. I agreed your son is a very smart kid. The only way for us to help stop this cycle is by REFUSING to support irresponsible and abusive breeders. I know it's heartbreaking though! | |
