| scrappy My yorkie is 15ys old. He has a liver problem. Nothing can be done. He sleeps all day cannot hold his urine and sometimes he has a soft stool with a little blood. He does eat but I wish someone could tell me what to do, Outside of eating . he is not the same dog. He has trouble walking so he urines in the kitchen which is often. We have put down 5 dogs already. This will be the last. He has not life outside of eating but it is not easy to put down this dog. I need a reason to put him down I know I have a few but still it is hard. I need some help. Lorry |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi Lorry and welcome to YT . I'm so sorry your little one is not doing well. All I can give for advice is, look into your heart and look into his eyes...and you'll know the answer one way or another. He sounds precious to you. I'm so sorry . I wish our babies never aged, or at least lived as long as we did.

| Sorry your little guy is not well. We all have to face this sooner or later with our little ones and it's a very tough decision to make. It's always difficult to let them go but I think you will know in your heart when it's time. |

| This is never an easy decision. You need to decide if extending his life is worth it to him. What quality of life is this? A part of parenting these little creatures is making that hard call to keep them from suffering. I wish they could stay with us forever, but they can't. A fact of life we can't change. I'm sorry you have to make this decision.

| Every baby that I have had that reached end of life, let me know when they were ready to go on ahead of me....you can really feel it in their eyes when they look at you. The look says, "I am tired, I just can not fight to stay here with you any longer....please help me cross over and I will wait for you to join me one day....but until that day, I will be pain free and able to run and play as you remember, as I remember, when I was so many years younger......please, hold me close, and help me let go, and I will always be there, waiting for you to come get me some day......you have loved me and cared for me and made decisions my entire life, that assured my safet, my happiness, and my good health.....I depend on you now, to make this decision for me at this stage of my life.....". |
