| Color change So at what age does a Yorkie pretty much have their final coloring and texture their coat will be? Like whether she will have a gold face and more of a silky or cotton coat? |

I am not sure what the answer to your question is but I know that Yorkies are full grown around 1 1/2 years so maybe that is when the final coat color and texture comes in .. | |

| Our breeder mentioned maybe about 1.5 years however her line typically clears their coat around 3 years of age. Emma is 18 months and still hasn't really gotten to her silver coat still black and tan in most places and she's in full coat. Every puppy is different and so if you got your baby from a breeder your breeder may be able to give your further detail on when the parents cleared.

| Teddy's 14 months old and his color started changing after I got his first groom back in May. He was shaved down (groomer was terrible) His coat is still black, but his legs are more of a blonde color, and the top of his head has shades of grey. He's always had a cotton coat and it doesn't look like it'll be changing. |

| Trinket is 15 months old, she has a lot of silver in both her back and head. Her head has several colors in it at this time. |
