| Dingle balls on behind Ok I generally get my Yorkies hair cut pretty short for this reason. But I want to try to keep them longer through the winter. We recently climbed into bed and found a not so wonderful smelly gift from one of my babies!! UGH!! Plus my male has to wear a belly band during the day and the long hair smells and makes him more irritated. Those of you with long haired Yorkies, do you groom their privates yourself or take them in monthly?? What is your secret??

| I keep mine cut (shaved!) short during the brutally hot summer months (95*-105*) here in Houston, and I usually let them start to grow out so they will have about 3-4 inches of hair going during the "brutal winter months" here in Houston, when our temps may plunge to a brutal 40* for a couple days.....or, God forbid a city stopping 30*.........!!!! I used to keep a couple in full flowing long coats....tooooooo much work.... But I keep the anal area and their bellies shaved so they dont have poopoo or pee on belly hair....these kiddos sleep in my bed and I dont like finding little wet spots or dingle berries in my bed! |

| My boys are in full coat and I trim very little on their backsides. To prevent problems, I try to make sure they are combed. Tangles are usually what cause problems. The cleaner and better combed the hair, the more things to seem to work out okay. Max very rarely has problems, but Teddy sometimes needs help. He always comes to tell me. For the belly band issue, make sure long hair stays out of the target area when you put the band on. Change frequently and give a belly wash daily (wet washcloth or wet wipe). We usually give full baths once a week, and mid-week a half body wash.

| The bum ought to be kept shaved clean around it, even if you want a full coat. You shouldn't be loosing too much hair around it though or the dog looks weird and bald. Same for the penis area- many groomers shave that as well but it's up to you. |

| Just had Peanut neutered last Wednesday and they trimmed the hair really short on the end of his wee wee. Now when he pees, he sometimes gets the back of his front foot all wet. |

| I keep unscented baby wipes handy, every time Cody make a pee pee he comes in the house, I tell him momma has to clean the wee wee, he lays down and lifts his leg lol, I wipe his wee wee hair and all 4 paws. I take the baby wipes with me when we go in the car also. I never had this pew with my girls, I am learning about boys lol.

| We taught Ginger to tell us when she has peed or #2 so we can spray or pick up and spray the Piddle Pad. If she pee's she comes straight over to get her Pee Pay, if #2 she comes over and circles and get butt check for hang fires. On pee if we ignore she will go back about business, #2 she will bark and go to piddle Pad till we pick it up and do butt check. |

| Yorkiemom1, you are cracking me up. I so get the city stopping 30. Last year, we actually got snow here in Mississippi! Of course, Zeus loved it. He hates hot weather, and the poor thing ended up with a family in Mississippi. He loves cold weather. You want to talk about city stopping - snow - nothing is open at all. Thankfully, it doesn't get that cold here either. I wear shoes with no socks all year! |

| I forgot. We keep Zeus's body trimmed because of the heat and humidity. Leave the head and legs longer. We do trim around his bum bum, and we keep the wing ding shaved short. If not, the tee tee stays in the hair and drips on the floor (he uses pee pads). |

| My grandma holds Teddy down and trims his booty in the winter! He was a puppy last winter so I didn't want to cut his fur until spring so he stayed shaved for the summer (first cut in April second in July) and now I'm attempting to grow it out but he does have rougher hair on his back and it's a little curly on his head so idk how growing it out will go! As for quick dingle berrie solution we have human butt wipes I use on him! But I bathe him every Saturday just to make sure all is sanitary

| Bubba is trimmed short right now on top but longer head and legs. Sissy is kept longer on top. Bubba rarely has dingle berry problems but Sissy, yuck. She comes and tells me-she keeps looking at her butt. Then we know it's time for her "baboon butt" clip.
