| car sick Well Lola is still getting sick when we take her in the car and this weekend we're going on a 3 hour car trip so I had to call the vet to get pills I really didnt want to use them but I don't want to leave her either. We tried dramiame and benadryl and neither one work, benadryl gave her more energy lol |

| Lola Hello. I am so sorry your baby gets car sick, it is miserable for her and you. Many here have reported that when they place their dogs in a Snoozer car seat where the dog can see out, they do not have the problem. My dog has that seat and he loves it. They can also sleep in it if you get the right size. Another medication that is very good for nausea and was really meant for car sickness is Cerenia. It is relatively expensive but it often prevents the car sickness. One has to follow the instructions carefully for it to work well. I assume you do not feed your dog for some time before traveling? Hope this helps and perhaps others will have other ideas for your poor baby. |

| We have a snoozer car seat and have had no problems with car sickness. My fur babies love it. Peanut absolutely hates riding in your lap or just on the car seat but loves the snoozer. |

| car seat I looked on the Snoozer web site and they do Console models, They do stress however that the console space be measured carefully to see if the Snoozer seat dimensions will be right for the car. They do not fit all cars. Pet Stores may not have these however, and you may have to get online. But I know you are in a hurry for the trip and that may not be possible. Online, one can get the best prices also, but it is even more important to get the measurements correct. I would go on the Snoozer website to get the sizes and more info and then perhaps look around for the best price with the fast delivery you may need. Good Luck and hope if you get one, that the dog travels well. |

| Cody is prone to car sickness I got him this booster seat at Pet Supplies cost is under $30. Name of booster seat is Tagalong Pet Booster Seat…. It goes over the head rest, it is elevated off the passenger seat, it can be put in the back seat if hubby is in the front. Cody weighs 12 Lbs, I got the large so he can lay down and nap, we have it 14 months and he has not gotten car sick.

| Tagalong I got one of these before the Snoozer, and found it was not very stable, in my car anyway. It seemed to move from side to side. I also think that perhaps I did not get the right size as my dog could not lie down in it. They are reasonably priced and if one can test it out in your car it could work very well. It does raise the dog up so he/ she can look out, which is the important thing. I don't know how it would work as a center console seat though? |

YT 1000 Club Member | I have the same seat and yes, it must be tight. I got it for Teek and he is okay with it. Rowan was getting car sick for a couple weeks. He would throw up if he was in that seat. If he gets warm in the car he throws up. I have to keep the car very cold for him and he does better being on a blanket laying on the car seat. I have a seat belt clip for him. It clips to his harness and then goes into the seat belt latch and this seems to work for him. He prefers if I throw a pillow on the floor of the car though and then a blanket or sheet over than and he will go lay down there in the car and has not gotten sick like that. Make sure the car is cool for the dog. I do know that if it gets warm at all Rowan starts throwing up. Raksha will be in the car with him and we will stop to get gas so the car is off for only a few minutes and Rowan will throw up if he gets hot in the 3 minutes the car was off. Now, I turn the air way up before I stop to pump gas so my glasses fog up when I get out of the car. That way it stays cold while I am pumping and then I hop back in and start the car back up. I am also hoping he has outgrown being car sick as he wasn't before and then hasn't gotten car sick for a couple months now. I hope it was short lived because I love to travel with my dogs.

| Car sear Matese. Thanks for the tip on the tightness. I think I see what my problem was. I put my seat in the center of my back seat ( middle of three) and I could not use the belt around the seat as my 3 seats are continuous. Looks like you need a bucket like seat that you can get around the back? Or a front seat? So my dog seat was just hanging from the headrest with no lateral constraint. So happy it works so well for your baby |
