| Howling in her sleep I was laying in bed watching TV when suddenly I hear this loud prolonged howling. It scared the crapped out of me. I jumped up thinking maybe it was something in the woods in the back of my house but it wasn't. It was my baby. Now normally Dutch is a light sleeper but yesterday we went to the dog park where she chased this one dog the entire time we were there. We were at the dog park for like an 90 minutes. She ran non-stop for the whole time. I am going to chalk it up as she was extremely tired and probably fail into a deep sleep and was dreaming about being a wolf in another life. She obviously was singing the song of her people. It was the first time I've heard her howl......really weird because it was a prolonged howled. Has anyone else's baby howled in their sleep? |

| Teddy howls, screams, whines, barks and wags his tail. Oh, and apparently he snores. Hubby bought him a new bed and he was snoring this morning. Hubby said he thought it was me at first.. |

| Sounds like Dutch was dreaming, re-living an exciting day. Teddy dreams a lot. He runs in his sleep, makes a little soft noise like he is barking. He once screamed in his sleep and scared the daylights out of me. Just one scream. I think he had a belly ache from the bit of apple he ate before bedtime.

Zoey does this when she's really tired. Sometimes, she "runs" in her sleep too. LOL Oh, Magnus and Zoey also howls when they hear the sirens. LOL One of the funnier moments: When Magnus freaks out hearing Zoey "sleep talk" all ready to charge at whatever she's barking/growling at during our naps. Misty: you sure it wasn't you snoring and you're just blaming it on Teddy? | |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Lol...woulda scared the crap outa me too ! Mine will growl, make little noises, whimper, and move their legs while sleeping/dreaming. It just fascinates me that dogs dream, and I always wonder what they're dreaming about!

| Neither of mine howl but I have a friend with a yorkie and she howls at EMS vehicles and fire trucks. Bubba snores but doesn't move, if you try to move him he complains. Sissy barks, runs, twitches her nose and blinks her eyelids. She is funny to watch. She is probably dreaming about the squirel or the chipmunks that are trespassing in her yard.

| Molly likes to sleep on her back in her bed, this leaves all four legs up in the air. DH and I were watching her last night and laughing because all four legs were running in the air and her tail was wagging. She also makes weird sounds, acts like she is chewing and makes her ears wiggle all while sleeping. She has to be tired when she wakes up.

YT 1000 Club Member | Most of my dogs make noise in their sleep. Teek cries in his sleep. He wakes me up with his crying and I pull him close to me and snuggle him. Gatlin runs in his sleep and makes funny noises. Raksha barks and whimpers in her sleep. Rowan is my quiet one and I have not really heard him making noises in his sleep so far. It is very normal for dogs to dream and to move their legs/tail while sleeping.

| Twice Wall-e has woken himself up howling. Then he gives us a dirty look like we disturbed him! My favorite is when he wags his tail in his sleep. I know he must be having a really good dream!

| Last night I started howling to get Duchess to howl and she started howling like crazy. As soon as i try to get a video of it, she stops howling. I howled for like another 10 minutes trying to get her to howl again..... She gave me this look that said it all "wow my mom is an idiot". |
