What is Best Yorkie Survivor Story? My three pounder Harley who is 3 pounds and 9 oz is six and so far has survived two pitbull attacks and rat poison. Just got him back Friday night for 2000 reward given to a young girl in a ratted out Nissan. He was stolen in the second week of December and was gone 26 days and traveled 30 miles and deep into the armpit of the next county! Holiday in the Hood. Whats best is he was totally normal without shock or trauma. Wasnt' clingy and wouldn't come when called. I rewarded him by getting a 9 weeks old yorkie little brother!

The rat poison was with an old girlfriend who had the dog while I was away and took him to a warehouse and while she was searching he found the poison. It is an anticoagulant and causes internal bleeding. She got him to a vet within 4 hours and had to stay next to him for three days so he didn't hit anything and start bleeding internally. The pitbull was 3 years ago when he was with my father and the pitbull came through the fence and bit into him twice on either side of the spine. He shook Harley while he was in his mouth and then picked him up again trying to kill him. I thought that was the end of him but after about ten days his normal nature had returned. Now he's just getting used to his little brother. I'll post a picture of him if I can. Thanks for all the good wishes. There is no limit to the amount of care and protection these little guys deserve!

He was stolen from my house with credit cards and I put up the reward posters everywhere the cards had been used. The poster had two pictures of him and a message that he needed medicine. It was the best 2000.00 I ever spent!

My GOSH!!!! Sounds like you both need a nice vacation ! Speaking of surviving stories, there was a wonderful girl that used to be a member here. Her little Yorkie quit eating and drinking. She took her to the vet for multiple blood tests. Finally the vet did an exray and found a penny had been swallowed. Surgery. The little female came close to death and all the blood started pulling away from the limbs and focusing on the heart. The poor little girl ended up having to get toes amputated. It got worse and she ended up having to have both of her front feet amputated. I am soooooo happy to say that she is doing wonderfully now and is playful and a true joy to the people she owns.

| First of all I want to say WELCOME to yorkie talk!!! You are so lucky to get him back.. But it does make you wonder if she was the one who stole him in the first place. We have a really bad theft problem here, people will just drive around looking for dogs to steal, then who knows what they do from there. It really has me nervous about gizmo because we have already had 3 dogs stolen. We called the police, filed reports, and have never had any of them returned, or anything.. It's heartbreaking!!! You are really lucky to get him back, congratulations! And congatulations on your newest addition!!!
