Yorkie Talker | Uninterested male Help from anyone. I have a female in heat. She is about 8 days into it. My male doesnt seem that interested. He has worried her since we got her back in march, and now, not very much. He was a year old in june, so should be old enough. Is it just not time yet? PLEASE HELP IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS. |

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | You want help then test the bitches hormone levels - 8 days into heat they are usually not in standing heat. A very young male hey what he is 14 months old? Will often times not know what to do and when to do it. I do not know why you want to breed a male so very young to a female of I don't know what age - but you could not have done the breed specific health tests that should be done prior to breeding a Yorkie. Your male might need an assist with the breeding process and you never leave two dogs to mate alone.....
