| Grooming Ouch Any suggestions on how to bandage/keep a bandage on a dogs's hind leg...I took a little nip out of my baby's leg while grooming her and now she will not leave it alone. I feel like such a bad mom !!!!! I tried wrapping it with gauge but she won't leave it alone... I am just worried about dirt getting in and it getting infected...Should I cover it up? Any suggestions???

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Don't get down on yourself for this happening...I'm sure it's happened to almost every one of us . Your kiddo will be okay. I would maybe put the gauze around it, then take a bandaid and wrap that tighter around the gauze...would that work?

| Well, dog saliva has a natural antiseptic quality. It would probably not be a big deal unless it was a really bad cut to let them lick it to their content. It is an ouchie and they naturally lick it until it is better.

| This self adhesive stuff works well, my family has used it on fingers, feet, and a dog tail. Most stores have it, I think pet stores do too, it's kinda like an ace bandage but it sticks to itself and it's disposable. CVS SELF-GRIP Athletic Tape/Bandage Maximum Support 2" Roll Beige - CVS.com We ordered this big box off amazon because my mom used it for 2 surgerys.
