| Walks How often do you guys walk your pups? I'm trying to find a good amount now that band is starting I have practice in the evenings some days and in the mornings other days but I don't wanna exhaust myself going on extreme walks and marching...we already walked twice this week I'm thinking one more to end the week?

| I would like to walk Max and Sasha every day but I don't always find the time. They (and me) need the exercise to stay healthy. When you say "extreme" walks what do you mean? Sasha is small (less than 4 pounds) and a half mile walk is a long way for her.

| Our extreme walks are a nature trail an I'll go as far as he wants which results in a nap for both of us...he's 17 lbs. it's dangerous to walk in our neighborhood nobody properly restrains their dogs so I try to go around the block if we miss a good walk and he's feeling hyper

| We walk several times a day. We live in a townhome so just letting Mia out to potty isn't an option. She LOVES her walks. She knows where all of her doggie friends live and she likes to see if they're out. When it's really hot out we do our longest walks in the morning and early and late evening. The exercise is great for her and most definitely great for me! |

| We walk daily. Like you, we cannot walk in our neighborhood because of the loose dog situation. We have to drive to another location. My boys love the car ride too, but it is a hassle. They miss having both a daily morning and evening walk. Now we just do one big outing every evening. Sometimes I am exhausted, but I know they wait all day for it. That motivates me to get out the door. I love days when I can surprise them with an extra trip -- we take them on errands and find places to do shorter walks.

| All my passed dogs were house broken, rain, hail, snow or sleet, they went for potty walks at 7:30 AM and 4:30PM, 30 min. walks, at this time I was not a home owner. Now that I live in the country Cody potties in the yard, it's a fair size yard where he can run and get his exercise, in Spring, Summer & Fall I walk him only in the mornings, winter it depends on the temp. If someone does not have a yard for the pups to romp & play, I feel 2 nice walks a day is a must, out at lest 30 minutes, no need for extreme walks. BTW all my pups were 10Lbs and over.

| I have a morning and evening walk. It's not a very long walk but just a quick stroll around the neighborhood.

YT 1000 Club Member | I go 5 days a week for 30 to 45 minutes after the sun goes down so it's not as hot. Sometimes we walk other times we run depending on how much energy we have. By the time we get back home, they're tuckered out which is great! |

| Piper and I go out at least 5 mornings a week, shortly after I get off work (gyd). I've found that it isn't so much the time or the distance, but the fact we go for a walk that works for Piper. When the weather cools we cover a lot of territory in about 30 or 40 minutes. Since it's been so hot, we may be only out for 15 minutes or 1/2 hour--again, just so long as she gets out! And I agree, her getting me to "go" is the best thing for me--I always feel better after our walks, long or short! |

In fact my last yorkie got out of the house and was out for about a half hour before I noticed she was gone (had handyman working on some projects for me). When I went outside to look for her, I just called her and she came running. | |

| Yay I love hearing all your schedules it's great ideas! Good news for Teddy practice tomorrow is canceled so I get to do our morning walk and then the evening mailbox sniffing (I try to go in the evening around the block while keeping my eyes on upcoming houses) |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I walk mine 4-5x a week, in the mornings around 6am. I walk Arthur (our chi) by himself, then I come back and walk Marcel and Pfeiffer. Wylie can't do walks anymore bc of his sight....so for him, we do indoor fetch bc he can hear the ball bouncing and he knows where it is then .
