| Why? Why does my 5 month old yorkie pee on people? You could be holding her and playing with her and she will pee on your lap. My son was just petting her and not even holding her and she peed on him. This is not the first time. |

| Welcome to YT, it could be from excitement. Lots of dogs of all ages pee when excited. Keep an old towel handy when you are having company, if they pick her up put the towel under her so the pee goes on the towel not the person. This is just a baby, they usually grow out of this.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's a little unusual, but not unheard of in puppies who just haven't yet put together totally controlling their bladder. I would give it some time. But I would bring this up next time at the vets too.

| I would second the advice to tell the vet. Could possibly be a UTI.

YT 1000 Club Member | Does she pee a lot or just sprinkle them a bit? Some dogs really just get so excited that they do the excited pee thing. A friend of ours had a spaniel that every time it saw me she would pee a little on the floor, that dog adored me. I would just go get a paper towel and clean it up myself because I knew it was my fault for being so awesome! LOL She just piddled a little though, it wasn't a full blown pee. If it is excited pee then maybe people need to greet her longer before picking her up? Jahryn's girl puppy has pee'd on us a couple times, but she is still young (16 weeks) and it has only happened a couple of times. I had a dog that if any man looked at her she would squat and actually pee and this is submissive peeing and she was just that afraid of men.

| Yes, it bears mentioning to the vet. We once had a Bichon who would pee a little every time my Mom came over. Mom would make a big fuss over her and she (the dog) would pee from excitement. The only way we stopped it was to have Mom ignore her for the first couple minutes.
