| Pregnant? 54 days! I have a Yorkie poo. She's about 10lbs. I bred her with a proven Yorkie stud 54 days ago. He is about 5lbs. Her nipples are enlarged and she has been showing mothering instincts. He only problem is she's not getting a pregnant belly this is her second litter so I thought she would get fat like last time. I have an appointment for her tomorrow at the vet but I don't want to pay extra for an x ray if she's not pregnant. I'm super worried |

| You need X-rays and a vet wellness check. Why would you breed her?

| Because she is a mix and breeding should only be done to better the breed. It's also important to know the generations several back before breeding. If you know what your doing why would you have to ask?

| So what if she's a mix. How else do you think they get new dog breeds? I do know what I'm doing that's why I'm taking her to the vet. I want to know if anyone else has had a dog had puppies with out getting a belly! I guess there is rude people everywhere that just want to bad talk you because you have a mixed dog. Thanks for the good answers! NOT! I will be deleting this account now. Have a good day. |

| So what if she's a mixed breed. They are good dogs. How else do you think they get different dog breeds? I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. The soonest time I can get an x ray on her with that vet! I'm not careless breeding. I guess the lady who has the stud is just as dumb as me for breeding her papered Yorkie with a mixed breed. Thank you for your advice. Seems I won't get good answers so this account is useless. Have a good day! |

| I didn't say she wasn't a good dog just that she should be spayed after this litter and kept as a loving pet. My first dog who was my best friend during a hard time was a mixed breed rescue. Two other dogs I grew up with were also mixed breeds. My moms yorkie rescue is mixed with something I think. Nothing against mixed breeds just not a fan of breeding them.

| I know nothing about breeding but can the vet feel puppies by palpating her belly? Just wondering. Maybe someone with more knowledge will be helpful. Good luck |

YT 1000 Club Member | When you take your bitch to the vet tomorrow, your vet should palpate her stomach and be able to feel whether she's pregnant or not. Then from there you can determine whether or not to proceed with an x ray. Dog pregnancies just like human ones are not all the same even with the same individual. | I didn't ask for opinions of i should breed her or not. I chose to breed because she's my dog and her first litter went to loving homes and update my frequently with pictures and how much they love them! That's why I'm breeding her! That's what I was thinking too. I'll have the vet do a wellness check and then she will tell me if she wants an x ray done. I'm just worried now because I stressed so bad for a tie and they only lasted about 5 minutes |

I do need to know how many puppies(if any) so I know all of them get out ok. I stressed a lot of the breeding because the ties were pretty short. Now I'm stressing she might not be pregant even though she showed signs:/ |

YT 1000 Club Member | Even if the vet says she isn't pregnant and doesn't do an xray, please keep an eye on her around her predicted delivery date. Vets can miss things at times, good luck with everything! |
