| Wow, that was quite an interesting article. I think I've shared my feelings on this subject, lol Glad to read that the gentleman was acknowledging opening a pandoras box, and not in a good way. That article should be flying around FB!! Not see how many celebrities look just like their parents, lol. |

| Wow is right, at least Conron admins his wrong doings. That's why we have so many "designer" dogs in shelters. I HATE this cross breeding, but seems they are in high demand because of fancy name of "designer dog" HA!!! Thanks for this post, maybe it will open eyes of new members looking to buy "designer dogs"

| No. Def not a myth. I know someone with two...both are service dogs for an owner with multiple illnesses and allergies. The dogs I know are sweet and well trained. The ones I know...and pet...LOL...both look similar to a Standard Poodle at first glance...somewhat badly bred Poodles...but likely because of the curly coat both have. They do not have a Poodle shaped head or muzzle at all and have Labrador tails...they are clearly a mix, when you look close.

| I have a crossbreed. She is a Yorkie cross Pug. I didnt go out looking for a crossbreed or designer breed. My friends yorkie was 14 and naively my friend didnt think he would have it 'in him' to breed at that age. But he did, and mated with their 1yr old pug!!! There was only 2 in the litter. They had her spayed straight after. Not sure if shes classed as a backyard breeder but shes never breed before and wont again. It was an accident but could have been prevented. Either way the pups were born and I fell in love. So I added one of the pups to my family which already consists of 2 Labradors and a westie! Here is my "designer" dog. To me she is a just a dog called 'penny' i dont think about her breed just like I dont think of my other dogs breeds. |

| Very sweet face. What an interesting article. I was surprised he had to hire marketing people in order to promote the first dogs. They certainly opened a puppy Pandora's Box.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Well it was way back when folks would only pay purebred prices for purebreds otherwise they went to the shelter and fondly adopted their *mutt*.
