| Where to get a Yorkie? Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. I am a Yorkie lover but unfortunately I live in Asia where there are no Yorkies! I have got two cats and a rescued stray dog. So I could only rely on internet, I almost got saved from a fraud of woman who tried to sale me a yorkie from Africa. I felt it was fraud. Could anyone guide me of any breeder who could ship internationally at a reasonable cost? I can also accept a rescued Yorkie from a pet shelter? I am specifically looking for a Yorkie like Audrey Hepburn's Mr. Famous. Could anyone tell me if its silk coat or soft coat and from where I can get a chubby one like that? http://s2.postimg.org/4gyc5a509/1_mrfamous1.jpg I know there are different shades in Yorkies but I am looking for dark gold one just like Mr. Famous. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT . You could try looking for breeders at The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. I think the issue will be shipping to Pakistan though..I don't know of any who would feel comfortable shipping a pup that far. It would NOT be safe to ship a pup that far in cargo.

| I was wondering about the laws as well. Plus having a little Yorkie transported that far for so long, would be extremely stressful for the pup. Most countries do have quarantine laws, so you should check that first. Its probably much easier to get one from Europe..closer to you etc. I bet there are Yorkies in Pakistan, you just have to do more research. I actually googled and there seems to be lots of places to find them. |

| Maybe I should look for breeders from Europe. Here in Pakistan people are importing dogs of their favourite breeds such as Siberian Huskies and Rottweilers. But Toy breeds are rare especially Yorkshire is really hard to find. Those who have got it, they either have it mixed breed or they cost it too much. Here a woman had got a Yorkshire which had come from France, she wanted to sell it but later on she changed her mind. Her Yorkie was genuine one I have ever seen in Pakistan so far. |
